FinLit

FinLit is an online, web-based service that teaches the basics of personal finance to individuals making financial decisions for the first time. They deliver bite-sized, engaging video-based lessons to build the fundamentals that individuals need to confidently navigate the complex financial landscape. Their overall goal is to empower individuals by making personal finance education simple, digestible, and actionable.

F&F worked with FinLit to develop their social media strategy, restructure their website, and implement search engine optimization (SEO) to garner more website clicks.

FinLit was a client in Spring and Fall 2021.

We redesigned the user interface of their website’s three main pages.

This project included restructuring FinLit’s homepage to include information about their product’s features and interface, learning outcomes, and testimonials to give potential customers more visibility into the product. We added more calls to action through buttons linking to the ‘Request a Demo’ page, and drafted copy to clarify FinLit’s mission and intended audience.

We were able to increase their web traffic by 42%.

before…

… and after

In our second quarter with FinLit, we designed a new iteration of the homepage.

We focused on creating a more personalized, welcoming feel — replacing stock images with a cohesive set of icons that matched their brand identity and updating their homepage slideshow with higher-quality images.

We created a cohesive grid of instagram content based on FinLit’s brand guide and our research on B2B social media best practices.

We designed and wrote copy for multi-slide Instagram posts providing information about FinLit’s features and client testimonials. We also summarized longer-term content suggestions and optimizations for FinLit’s social channels: LinkedIn, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram.

To optimize FinLit’s website for search engines, we compiled a list of financial education key search terms and ranked them based on competitor usage and average monthly views.

Ultimately, we submitted 11 keywords for integration into FinLit’s website and content.
