FAQs
Why should I join Form & Function?
F&F gives undergraduate students at Northwestern the opportunity to gain a wide variety of marketing experience through our internal programming and working with clients in the Chicagoland area and beyond. We also provide peer mentorship, coffee chats, and social opportunities to build community within our club.
How much of a time commitment is F&F?
Once accepted into F&F, new members are invited to a marketing boot camp that serves as a crash course into the different types of work that we do. We also pair new members with a mentor and set up coffee chats with current members to help introduce you to our community. All members are asked to dedicate 1-2 hours per week for client work, with the option to do more internal club work by joining our Communications and DEI committees.
What do you look for in applicants?
We encourage people from all backgrounds to apply and do not assess candidates based on their major or prior marketing experience. We’re looking for your enthusiasm for what you can learn at F&F, how you’ll contribute to our community, and how you might solve business problems strategically and creatively.
How to prepare for your written application and interview?
We are incredibly grateful for your time in our recruitment process and look forward to reviewing your application! If you’re interested in joining F&F, we recommend you tell us why you’re genuinely interested in joining our club and what ideas you’d bring to support our clients and organization. As a reminder, we don’t review your past work experiences but instead hope to get to know you and your personal goals.
